Forgot this one!

This fabulous picture was actually last week when I was trying to get a shot for a Halloween card!

Happy Halloween!

Maury and Monkey Pierce, Happy Birthday sweet Pierce!

We had a big day trying to work in as much Halloween fun as possible! We went to the library to Trick-or-Treat, met Daddy for lunch, had some really good naps, and then headed to church for Trunk-or-Treat! I'm sure Maury and Carter will sleep late in the morning (not really)! Despite her expressions in the photos, Maury the Lady Bug, had a blast doing it all. Carter was a trooper and didn't complain in his bee suit till about 6:30 when we headed home.

Another Day With Daddy

Today Maury and Carter got to go to the McWane Center with Daddy while I worked!!! A step up from the trip to Wal-Mart for wigs for sure! I must give Owen some major credit for pulling this off! He acted like it was easy! Hooray for Super Dad!

Not a great pic I know, but the only one with Carter in it (not Daddy's fault, the camera battery died).

When Daddy's In Charge.....

We get to go to Wal-Mart and buy wigs! I worked yesterday so Daddy decided to get out of the house with both Maury and Carter and go to Wal-Mart. Not sure why he decided on wigs. I might understand if they were going to be Joe Dirt and Pipi Longstocking for Halloween. Anyway, Carter seems to really love his mullet. Maury will have nothing to do with hers.

Fall Fun

Today we went to the closest pumpkin patch we could find (maybe 1/4 mi down the road) because our naps extended past 4:00. Not much else to do there other than buy pumpkins so we picked out a few and snapped some photos. That's about all we could handle anyway. We discovered Carter may be allergic to hay after he chewed on it for a while, lots of snot and sneezes followed.

We made a quick trip to Decatur on Thursday and got to go to a fall festival with all of the cousins. It was a bit chaotic but good to see everybody for a very brief visit. Maury's favorite game was the one with lots of ducks and water so she was soaked when we left. She also tried out the cake walk but it was Mary Bradford who took home 3 cakes!

Hercules

Carter's 6 month check-up was today! He is 23 lbs, 5 oz and 28 inches (weighs more than all other babies his age and is taller than 95 out of 100). Everything checked out perfectly. We are so thankful Carter is a big, healthy baby boy! Maury got to tag along for the visit to get a flu shot. Daddy met us there to help out. What a fun family outing!

Super Dad Takes On Picture Day

Today was picture day at Maury and Carter's school and I had to work......which meant Daddy was in charge of getting both of them ready and the drop off. I did have their clothes laid out for him but I must say he did a great job (he did have to do the bow placement himself). He did not manage to snap a photo before they left but I got one this afternoon. Surprisingly, they were still pretty well put together. I hope Maury didn't make this face in her real picture. I think Carter remembered just what to do!

Another Go

Pre-game Photo

4th Quarter

Our second MSU game went much better than the first. Several things made the experience more pleasant: 1. My parents chair-back seats (I didn't have to take a pain killer when we got home) 2. A 1:30 kick-off time (we made it home by bedtime) 3. Good naps in the car on the way and 4. The weather was perfect (no sweaty Carter). And to make it an even better day the Bulldogs pulled out another win! I'm so pleased that we've been there as a family for all two of the victories!

Lesson Learned

I took Maury to get her hair trimmed (evened up from when I butchered it) on Monday. I was prepared with a purse full of suckers but of course Maury preferred the chocolate candy the lady offered her. She did well and now has a pretty even hair cut. I will not attempt to cut it myself again!

A Visit From Migi and Papa C

Migi and Papa C came into town over the weekend to visit and help out while I worked. I know Owen appreciated having two extra sets of hands around and I was thankful for the help with the laundry. Maury and Carter really enjoyed all of the extra attention and they love their new Halloween t-shirts!

Row Your Boat

"Row, Row, Row Your Boat" has always been Carter's favorite song but when I added a bounce to it today it was even better! It comes as no surprise that "Ride a Little Horsey" is also a big hit! Please excuse my singing. I know Maury and Carter are the only two people in the world who enjoy it. Sorry it's sideways.
