Day Off

Owen and I were both off today. It seems like we never have a day when we are both off and at home. Not that we did any relaxing......we put up the tree, set up Maury's big girl bed, and moved her bed and changing table into Carter's room (disassembling 2 cribs and putting 1 back together) because Carter's crib and changing table were loaners. Maury did great napping in her twin with the extra-long rail and is almost asleep in it now, hopefully she will not try to climb out during the night! She was thrilled with her Dora sheets and Santa will be bringing the rest of her bedding and some things for her room! Carter thought her bed was pretty fun too!

Thankful

I worked Thanksgiving day and the day after but we managed to make a quick trip to Decatur to enjoy a little (really a lot of) turkey!

Charlotte said she was thankful for Carter!

Thanksgiving Fun

Today we got had a good start to our Thanksgiving holidays by making Pilgrim Hat cookies with Henry (Henry's mommy is much more organized than me)! Maury and Henry were more interested in licking the chocolate which made it a really fun project. Carter watched from the exersaucer, I knew if he got close he would want a taste for sure! We also went to Target tonight. I pretty sure Maury had more fun in 15 min at Target than she did at Disney World. Bless her heart, I avoid taking kids when I have to go shopping so she really isn't familiar with toy stores. She pulled all of the chairs off the shelf and lined them up herself! I also had to post a pic from tonight's bath. Bath time is Carter's favorite time of the day!

Elf Disco

I remember doing this last year but I don't think they had the Disco option!

Photo Session at Mimi's

We made a quick trip to Decatur today to pose with the cousins for Mimi's Christmas card picture. It was quite an adventure! I thought it would be impossible to get a good one of all six but I think she actually got a few! From left: Gray, Charlotte, John David, Mary Bradford, Carter, and Maury.

What A Day!

Before church (I was singing the "Little Green Frog" song and you stick your tongue out in the song, I also made this mistake earlier in the week while trying to get a Christmas card pic)

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY HENRY!!!!!

Maury thinks she may want a trike for her birthday too!

We packed as much as we possibly could into our day today! We made it to Sunday School and Church (we rarely make both b/c C needs a nap but he was sleeping when I checked on him after SS), headed home for lunch and naps, got up just in time to head to Henry's birthday party, and then met Aunt Leigh Ann at the Summit! Whew! Got back home in time for dinner and baths, now both angels are fast asleep. We probably will not be leaving the house tomorrow!

Wagon Ride

Carter got to go on his first belted in wagon ride this afternoon (his previous wagon rides included his car seat)! Maury was tickled that baby brother is finally big enough to ride along! We also tried out pigtails for Maury after her nap (we're not quite ready for them yet).

7 Months......

and STILL growing!

Carter is 7 months old today! He has really developed quite a big personality. He grins and laughs all of the time! He loves to sit and play with his toys (Maury usually steals whatever he has in his grasp) and has a blast rolling around on the floor. Not quite sure what his weight is but based on my holding him on the scale he is about 25 pounds! What a blessing, he is such a joy!

What A Weekend!

As if Halloween itself wasn't enough we decided to pack in a MSU football game and a trip to Brandon over the weekend! When you add a time change into all of that you can imagine what kind of shape we are in tonight! Maury and Carter did not take good naps on the way to the game Saturday so they napped during the game (you can see in the photo).

Maury still has not warmed up to Bully.

We finally got to meet sweet Mahlon and Sara Beth at the game and I got to go over and spend a little time with them Sunday too!

We got to Brandon in time for baths and a little playtime with Migi and Papa C before bedtime.

Sunday Maury and Carter got to be spoiled by Aunt Cameron and Aunt Alex and had a play date with Mary Hogan (yes, MH looks like she is scared Carter is going to roll over and crush her in the pic).

Today we were having lunch before heading back to Birmingham and poor Maury let us know that we had pushed her too far!
