Trunk-Or-Treat

Maury and Carter didn't really know what to expect before arriving at our church parking lot for Trunk-Or-Treat. My little duck Maury (not a fan of the head gear, you can see why in the family pic) caught on pretty fast but wanted to eat each piece of candy rather than getting a bag full and was very selective (she mostly picked out pink candy). Carter the turtle didn't have a clue that he had a bag and just wanted "uckers" and "ookies" ASAP. From the tumble bus to the hula-hoop contest, fun was had by all!

Pumpkin Carving

We made our last trip to the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkin for carving! Maury and Carter had to take home a couple of little pumpkins too. They were excited to help Daddy get all of the goo out of the pumpkin. Girly Maury thought it was gross and Carter was happy to get messy (he even ate a few bites)!!!

BBQ, Cotton Candy, & Ice Cream

We went to the Pig Iron BBQ Benefit Friday night and had lots of fun. They offered all of the free BBQ and hot dogs for the kids you could possible eat but they preferred the cotton candy and ice cream! Carter was most excited about the fire trucks, cranes, race cars and helicopter we saw and Maury was thrilled to eat junk with Henry!

Build-A-Halloween Monkey

We met lots of friends from school at Build-A-Bear for a little Halloween fun. The kids got to choose any animal and costume they wanted and Maury went with a monkey she dressed as a pumpkin fairy who she named George. I didn't get a picture of George all dressed up. Carter just helped when needed (he didn't know the difference and we didn't need another stuffed animal) and tried to take a spin in a car made for a bear. After Build-A-Bear we all went for a carousel ride!

The Pumpkin Patch

Finally, a beautiful day for the pumpkin patch! Today we met Pierce at Shadow Lake and tried to do it all! 4 giant bouncers (we tried them all out), a train ride, face painting (only 1/2 done in Carter's case), games, pumpkin picking, and lunch. I think all we left out was making a scarecrow and the hayride. We had tons of fun and Maury and Carter crashed in the car on the way home!

A Visit With Nana

What a special treat it was to have lunch at Nana's house on Friday. Maury and Carter love Nana and have so much fun playing with a basket full of toys that I played with at Nana's when I was little!

Look What I Did!

We were invited to Maury and Carter's school for open house last week! We got to see all of the special projects they've been working so hard on. Maury was so proud to show us her class, her sweet teacher and all of her friends. Carter wanted to play when we got to his room. After we saw it all we headed to a hot dog dinner with friends!

Fall Fun

We've had fun with fall in the past few weeks. We have painted pumpkins, made caramel apples and are waiting for nice weather so we can go to the pumpkin patch and pick out our pumpkins to carve!

Game Dog

We headed back to Starkville for another disappointing MSU game on Saturday. Once again the kids were troopers. It was an 11:30 game so Maury and Carter had a game dog for lunch in the stadium. We've always give Carter a hot dog (choking hazard) in small pieces but he wouldn't have it this time, he wanted to hold it and eat it like a big boy (and his big sis)!

3 Silly Spiders

Last week Pierce got to come play a little while and ride to school with us. They were too cute in their matching spider shirts (made by my friend Ashley http://www.sewsimplegifts.blogspot.com/)!

Carter is 18 Months!!!

18 Months Old

Carter loves to brush his teeth all by himself.

Heading to the Doctor

Dancing while waiting on the doctor!!!

Carter was 18 months old on Sunday! He thinks he is a big boy and is into everything, climbing on everything and talking all the time. He is like a parrot and will repeat anything and everything we (including Maury) say, good or bad. His latest is "What's that?" and he says it about every noise, object, new person, etc. that he comes in contact with. He repeats the question until he gets the answer he is looking for. At his check-up this morning he was a large 33 pounds and 34 1/2 inches tall, once again off the chart for weight and 97% for height. He is an absolute joy and he makes us laugh all day long!

Art Show and Gameday

We had a full day Saturday starting with the Bluff Park Art Show followed by another afternoon of tailgating and MSU football. Maury had a big time at the art show, she wanted to do it all! Carter was not a fan of his smock. Again, they did really well at the ballgame (even with a 6:30 kickoff). Carter fell asleep for the night during the second half, while big sis was wide awake through the entire game and most of the ride home (out at 11:20 pm)!!!
