Trunk or Treat

Spiderman had just taken a tumble off the wall :(

Last night the kids were excited to get into character and head to church for "Trunk or Treat."  On the way Carter said "Where is trunk or treat's house?"  He wasn't quite sure what was in store!  They were thrilled when we pulled up at church and they saw all of the kids in costume!!!  Tinkerbelle's favorite stop was the nail painting table where she waited in line rather than sit in the chair where a clown was painting nails.  Spiderman liked the cake walk but was a little discouraged after several rounds without winning.  They bother loved the trunk with the colored hair spray, Maury went with pink and Carter had blue hair!  I had to hide their candy this morning,  I couldn't keep them out of it.  Carter grabs it and runs if we tell him no!  And we still have trick or treating to go!!!!

A Pumpkin Party!

Carter's best bud Pierce is a little Goblin, he will be 3 on Halloween!  We celebrated his birthday at the pumpkin patch and had tons of fun!!!    It was a morning of cupcakes, ice cream, a train ride, a hay ride, bouncing, face painting, games, and more!  Carter had his face painted for the very first time (he has always had a fear of paint on his skin)!  We left the party and headed to Starkville where a great day went downhill in a hurry.  Maury got the stomach bug at the tailgate so we went right back to Birmingham and made it in time to see the game on TV!

Jack-O-Lantern

Last weekend we went in search of the perfect pumpkin for carving!  Maury informed me once it was carved that it was not a pumpkin, it was a Jack-O-Lantern (she had carved a pumpkin at school that day)!  Carter even gave Jack a goodnight kiss!

The Fair

We went to Migi and Papa C's last weekend for a visit and Migi treated us to a trip to the fair!!!  We did it all:  pretty much every kiddie ride, the petting zoo, a pony ride and had a taste of everything the fair had to offer!  Migi and Aunt Alex even stepped up and rode when necessary and I was super appreciative!!!

A Visit from the Wise's

We had a special treat last weekend when the Wise's came to town.  We watch the game, had a spend the night party, and went to the zoo (while the Dads played in a golf tournament)!  There is never a dull moment when Char and JD are here to play!

The Pumpkin Patch

Saturday morning we had a church play date at Old Baker Farm.  Not only did we go on a hay ride to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins but there was a petting farm, a hay maze, giant hay bales to climb, and much more.  We were a little warm in our long sleeves but other than than it was a wonderful fall day and a super fun play date!!!

Please, Help Yourself!

This is what happens when I am not quick to respond to requests from the kitchen.  Owen caught them in the act and snapped a pic.  And yes, I realize there is not a chair there, not sure how he climbed up.  The most important thing is that they got the yogurt.

Another Game Day

We headed back to Starkville on Saturday for another MSU football game but it was an extra special game because the Jackson's joined us!  We had a breakfast tailgate with the cousins, had some time for the bouncers and face painting, and then enjoyed a win in gorgeous weather!  Carter even worked in a second half nap!
