3 Weeks!

Baby Caroline is 3 weeks old!  She had a check-up on Wednesday and was up to 8 pounds but her bili level was still up so we've had to start giving formula every other feeding to get it down.  We will go back Monday to get it checked again.  Other than that she is doing well, still sleeping a lot but having more wake time each day.  Maury and Carter are still big helpers and holders!

Summer Reading Sign-Up

We survived our first outing!!!  This morning I decided to brave the library with all three.  It was easy!  Caroline slept in her carrier closed up in the stroller to avoid exposure to any airborne germs and the other two were on their very best behavior!  I may make it through the summer after all!!!  Maury and Carter signed up for the summer reading program and I was delighted to see a new drive-thru book deposit that will make my life much easier!  Yay!

Hello Summer!

Too Cold!

Our summer has officially started with the end of MDO and the opening of the pool!  We tested the waters on opening day.  Maury and Carter couldn't get past the second step in the big pool but they didn't mind the cool temp of the baby pool!  On Sunday we took our first family stroll, I'm thinking this is about the only way I'll be able to exercise until Baby C is old enough to go to the gym.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the ride!

Last Day

Carter and Mrs. Lora

Maury and Mrs. Molly
Today was Maury and Carter's last day of school until August, a sad day for the mama of a newborn but I am optimistic about the summer.  We will make lots of trips to the park, the library, the pool, and the gym once Caroline is old enough but we've got a few weeks of survival ahead before we can get out.  They had a great year and learned so much!  They both had water day and pizza parties this week!  It'll be time for 3K and 4K to start before we know it!!!

2 Weeks!

Caroline is 2 weeks old and still just eating and sleeping!  I love this stage and wish I could just sit and hold her all day long (but my help is gone this week and there's house work, laundry, Maury, and Carter)!

Cousin Playdate!

The Wise's came all the way from Tupelo to play this week!  Caroline got to meet Char and JD for the first time!  They big kids had so much fun playing in the back yard and the babies hung out on the porch.  Their visit was a special treat, we wish we all lived closer and could do it more often!

Firsts

Caroline went on her first stroll this week and had her first tub bath!!!  And yes, her eyes are still closed most of the time!

Sweet Sisters

I think Maury would sit and hold Caroline all day if she could!  She is thrilled to have real live baby doll and is such a good helper!  She gets so excited if I ask her to get a diaper or even throw a diaper away.  It's nice to have an extra set of hands!

Weekend Getaway

Maury and Carter took a special trip with Migi and Papa C to Nashville to visit Aunt Chris and Uncle Scott over the weekend!  The highlight of the trip was visiting the neighbors horse!  While they were gone the house was really quiet and we got some time to spoil Caroline.  Aunt Cameron, Uncle Lee, and baby Tre came to meet Caroline on Saturday.  We couldn't believe how sweet Tre has grown!

One Week Old!

Caroline was a week old yesterday!  Yay!  We survived the first week!  It really has been easy because I've had lots of help.  Caroline is pretty much just eating and sleeping, she usually only gets up once at night, I do not expect that to last.  She rarely cries, I think her daily heel sticks this week is about the only time she's been upset.  We are enjoying this sweet time.  Don't expect many blog posts after Sunday as I will be on my own (with Daddy helping in the evening) starting next week!

Really Maury and Carter???

Our pre-school year-end choir performances were delayed a couple of weeks due to the tornadoes so this past Wednesday was the big day.  I have directed (refereed) the 2's class this year and Maury and Carter were both singing so I wanted to try and make it.  Owen was working late and Mimi was here so Caroling stayed home with Mimi.  Maury, Carter, and I headed to church to perform.  We practiced, talked it up, etc.  Got in the sanctuary, the music started and Carter just stood there with his lip out, he eventually sat on the step (lip still out).  Never sang a word.  Next up, Maury's class.  Pretty much the same thing except she was smiling a little, but also never opened her mouth.  When she was done we headed home before the show was over because I had to feed baby Caroline.  As we walked to the car Maury said "I didn't sing" and Carter said "I didn't sing too."  Wow.

Taking Turns

It's pretty hard to get a chance to hold baby Caroline around here.  Maury and Carter are always in line and are getting better at sharing her.  Maury really does a great job and Carter tries but someone has to be close by when he's tired of holding because he'll hop up without paying attention to where baby sister is going.  These pictures were taken after school and I had stripped Carter down b/c he was super dirty and probably really germy!

Bili Baby

I started worrying Sunday night about Caroline's bilirubin level because she was looking a little yellow and she hadn't had any dirty diapers since we left the hospital.  So Monday morning I called the pediatrician and took her in to get checked.  Her Bili was 19.8 which means gets a few days on the bili-bed.  Not the result I was hoping for but she is doing really well, mostly sleeping.  It's hard not being able to hold that precious girl but hopefully it'll only be another day or two.  She's a trooper!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Maury wrote their names on the card!
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect Mother's Day this year!  My wonderful mother-in-law was here helping, I got to spend time with sweet Caroline while Daddy, Maury, and Carter went to church, and then I got to share part of the special day with my amazing Mother!  I am so blessed to have been chosen to be a mommy to Maury, Carter, and Caroline.  My cup runneth over!!!

First Bath

Everybody ready for bed

Papa C warming Caroline up
I had two super helpers for Caroline's first bath at home!  She did pretty well and loved getting her hair washed!

Heading Home

We were up bright and early ready take Caroline home but had to wait around a little on our doctors.  We made it home around lunch time and Maury, Carter, Migi and Papa C were waiting in the driveway!  Big Sis and Big Bro were so excited to see Caroline!  They took turns holding and giving kisses and were quick to show her the nursery.  Migi and Papa C had to stand in line for their turn to hold!
