Miss Piggy

When I picked Maury up at school she was so excited to show me the pig nose she got out of the treasure box!  She always gets candy but I guess the pig nose was the new popular item in the box!  Not long after the kids went down for naps I went to check on them and this is what I found in Maury's bed!

The Dollar Movie

We check on what's playing at the dollar movie every week or so and were so excited to see that Tangled and Yogi Bear are playing now!!!  Even though we'd already seen Tangled that's what they picked saying we'll see Yogi next time.  Pierce met us there and they had a great time.  They did lots of seat hopping but did watch most of the movie.  And Tangled comes out on DVD today so we may see it again soon!!!

Arts and Crafts!

When we left the race we stopped by the church for some fun at the Arts and Crafts Fair!  Maury is always thrilled to get to do a craft.  She will sit for hours and work on anything she can cut, glue, and color.  Carter, not so much.  Even his evaluation from school said he isn't a fan of table activities.

The Rumpshaker

Owen has started running and on Saturday he ran his first 5K (not counting the High Country 2 years ago when we ran and pushed the double jogger, ugh)!  Maury, Carter, and I headed downtown to cheer him on at the finish line!!!

Welcome Baby Catherine!!!

So we get home late Saturday and when we wake up Sunday morning while still in the bed Owen (checking his phone) says "Leigh Ann had the baby?"  And I say "WHAT?!?!?"  So we get dress and get on the road to Tupelo to meet new addition #2, Catherine Hester Wise.  She was born around 4 am on Sunday weighing 7lbs 8oz.  We get there in time to hold sweet Catherine, again Maury was overjoyed (didn't even take Carter in the room), and go to lunch with the cousins.  After lunch the kids had a ball playing in Char and JD's backyard before heading back to Birmingham.  3 days with nap time in the car = tired kiddos!!!  We are all caught up now and can't wait till we get to see those baby cousins again!!!

Welcome Baby Tre!!!

Mary Hogan and Maury

A lizard on Carter's head!
We headed to Jackson on Friday to meet the first of our two new additions to the family.  Lee Crum Lampton III arrived around 2:15 that afternoon weighing 6lbs 11oz and we made it to the hospital shortly thereafter.  We took a peek at Tre in the nursery and then went to Congratulate Aunt Cameron and Uncle Lee!  We spent the night at Migi and Papa C's and then went back to the hospital on Saturday where Maury was thrilled to get to hold baby Tre (we didn't give Carter the opportunity, not sure he's ready for babysitting).  After lunch we were planning on going to the St. Patty's Parade before heading home but we decided the park with the Allen's would be easier!  There was a birthday party going on and the kids were invited over to see the show by the zoo-keeper!

A Pretty St. Patty's

Yesterday we headed to a friend's house for a St. Patrick's Day play-date!  I think it was the prettiest day so far this year!  The kids played outside all morning in the beautiful weather and then again at home after nap-time.  We are so excited Spring is here!!!

Springing Forward

The time change has not gone so well at our house.  Owen and I have bed hopped every night this week and all four of us have been in our bed at times.  Nap time has been effected as well.  I took this picture one day when Carter played in his bed for an hour and a half before going to sleep.  I don't know how many times I had been upstairs to threaten him at this point (doesn't he look scared?)!!!

Tangled at the Library???

So maybe she wasn't the Rapunzel we saw at Disney last month......... her hair was yellow yarn, I'm pretty sure her dress was a hand-me-down, and her castle was made of cardboard but she still put on a good show!  After we watched a short performance the library had several fun Tangled activities to do.  Maury and Carter picked the doughnut tower table first, then we headed to the craft tables.  It was a very popular (crowded) event at the library so we didn't get to do it all but it made for a fun morning!

Wardrobe Malfunction

I forgot I took this a few weeks ago!  Maury came downstairs in a leotard she was quite proud of but didn't realize her legs were in the arm holes and the stride was over one shoulder!!!  She asked me what was wrong and why her panties were showing!  I tried to explain but she didn't get it!

Fun Foods!

Maury and Carter aren't much on vegetables but one thing they do like is corn on the cob!

Maury made mud pies at school last week and wanted to show us how at home, yummy!!!
