Adjusting???

It's the end of week two and we are doing well for the most part.  Maury has adjusted so well to Kindergarten, Caroline on the other hand is struggling.  She's a two-nap-a-day girl and on MDO days she is getting one short nap and yesterday she fell asleep on the floor before nap time (Mrs. Rebecca sent me a pic).  Getting Maury to school on time is still a little hairy.  Today I did get everybody %75 dressed, usually 3 out of 4 of us have on our pjs in carpool.  Color days for Maury slow us down too, today is purple day and there isn't must purple in her closet, thank goodness for purple Keens!  Carter was excited it's MAROON FRIDAY, GO DAWGS!!!!

Maury's 1st Day of K!!!

The big day finally came!  Monday morning Maury woke up excited to get ready for her first day of Kindergarten!!!  Daddy went to work late so he could go get a special doughnut breakfast and we could all take Maury to school.  She did great going in and had a wonderful first day until she got off the bus and saw me and 2 cameras!  She had a break down and I though it was because she had a bad day but she quickly assured me her day was super, it was Mama and her embarrassing picture taking that upset her!

With Carter and Caroline starting school a week before Maury we planning some special outings for our special Kindergartner.  We let her pick a few and planned a few surprises.  We had a fun filled week and I am sad to see it end but Maury is so thrilled to start Kindergarten in the morning!

Maury Meets Mrs. Fritschi

Maury was so excited to see her Kindergarten classroom and meet Mrs. Fritschi on Wednesday!  She was a little shy so since her BFF Sarah Elizabeth just happens to be in her class she was comfortable taking a picture with the teacher and SEB!  We are looking forward to a great year!!!

Carter and Caroline's First Days

Carter started 4K on Monday and Caroline started MDO for the very first time on Tuesday!  Carter is loving every minute of it and Caroline is trying to hang in there without her morning nap!!!

Carter also went to big church and Kids in Christ for the first time today.  And since he is the total opposite of Maury every experience is like a new one with him!  When we walked into church he said "What are we doing in here???"  When the choir entered he said "Who are they???"  He hummed and sang the wrong words to every song (even the instrumental ones), when there was a sitting song he asked why we weren't standing and said he was going to stand anyway (and did).  I don't think Maury has said as much in big church in a year as he did this morning!!!

Carter and Caroline Meet Their Teachers!!!

It's hard to believe it's that time again!  Tonight we headed to the Day School to Meet the Teacher (the teachers were there but aren't pictured, ha).  Carter was super excited and can not wait to start and Caroline seemed to like the toys in her class!  Carter insisted we go to his class first to meet Mrs. Martha and Mrs. Carol.  He found his cubby, his seat, and his cookie of course!  And to top it off his best bud Pierce is in his class and we found their seats side by side, I am predicting they will soon be moved!  Caroline met Mrs. Rebecca and Mrs. Tiffany and she also had a friend in her class.  Although you couldn't tell, I know she is excited to spend the year with little Elizabeth and meet lots of new friends!

Caroline's 15 Month Check-Up

Sweet Caroline checked out great at her check-up yesterday!  Mimi and the Jackson's were in town visiting and helping me out so Amy took my big two to the movie and Mary B got to go the the doc with me (Aunt Amy gets a star in her crown)!  MB was much more helpful that Maury and Carter are at check-ups!!!  

Big girl was 25 lbs, 4 oz, and 32 inches tall.  At 15 months she is walking some but still prefers crawling because she can go much faster, she has become an award winning climber, she says mama, car-ker, bye-bye, night-night, ball, dada, hey, cheese (when picking up any small device), no-no, and she can sort of count to 3 (not very clearly).  She loves to mimic sounds and can bark pretty well (this will come in handy in a few weeks in Starkville), and she will drop everything to dance when she hears music.  We gave up the passy this week and it hasn't been super smooth, just taking a little longer to go to sleep.  Caroline is developing a BIG personality, she may just be a little Carter :)

Mackinac Island/Alex's Big Day

Last weekend we traveled by plane, shuttle, ferry, carriage, and bike to celebrate Alex and Joe's wedding!  We changed our plans last minute and left Caroline with Mimi because we knew it would be a little much for her (and us) to handle.  Mackinac Island was beautiful, as was the wedding, and Alex was a gorgeous bride!
