Daddy takes over for a bit.

Just as a disclaimer: I will be taking over for Sally on the blogging for a while so she can focus on school.  I'm not near as good at this as he is so remember that when you visit the site.  I just posted several entries but they are not in the correct order.  Maybe I can do better with that next time.

All ready for Sunday School

1st Warm Day of 2013

The first warm day of 2013 brought out two other first for the year as well.

The first busted lip of 2013.

The first sighting of the Ice Cream Truck.

Carter's 1st practice of 2013

Carter's team had their first practice of the spring season and the entire family participated.  Maury is eagerly waiting for her turn to hit the field too.

Eating some fruit snacks and watching Carter on the field.

Maury is so proud of her new soccer gear.  Especially the socks.

Trip to Target

Mommy and Caroline ran to Target to grab a few things.  Caroline's fashion sense was on display for their trip.

Team Andrew

Andrew Cross, the child of our friends from Miss State, has begun his battle with Leukemia.  To show support people and groups across the country have begun the TEAM ANDREW pictures that are everywhere on social media.  Here was one of our attempts.

10 Years!!

To celebrate our 10 year anniversary Sally and I headed out to Breckenridge for a few days.  Alone.  We had a great time but missed the kids too.

View from our balcony.

The Zoo and Moss Rock

Maury, Carter, and I went to zoo to check out the animals on a chili day while mom and Caroline were at home studying and sleeping.

Later that day we stopped back by the house and grabbed the others and headed over to Moss Rock Preserve to take a short hike to the creek.

This guy had a gorilla hand.

A favorite activity.  Throwing rocks in the creek.

1st Spend the Night Company and Guys Night Out

Maury had her best friend spend the night and it was the first time we had spend the night company that wasn't one of our cousins.  Maury and Sarah Elizabeth had a blast even with little sis Caroline trying to tag along.  Carter and i took the opportunity to have a guys night.  I'm sure over the next several years we may make these guys nights a regular occurrence rather than being outnumbered at home with the girls.

Getting their hair did.  Even Caroline joined in.

If you know Sara Elizabeth then this picture needs no explanation.  Her and Maury are exact opposites and at the same time inseparable friends.  Funny little girl.

When I added this picture I thought thas was Maury behind her not a doll.  Still funny.

Carter picked Burger King as his place to go out and eat because he said "They have a great burger".  Afterward, he admitted that he got Burger King and Dairy Queen mixed up.  He had never eaten at Burger King before.

Nascar racing was his second choice (actually bowling but all lanes were reserved until midnight)

A double doozie from the cookie company was his final pick of the night.  God choice.

American Girl

For Maury's birthday this year she wanted everyone to give her American Girl gifts cards so she could add them all up pick out her very own American Girl doll.  The night we sat down to pick her out Maury made it clear she wanted to get one that looked just like she did.  So obviously she picked the one with long strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. They may not look like identical twins but she loves little Emma.

Mercedes Marathon Weekend = Trip to Brandon for the kiddos

Sally and I ran in the Mercedes Half Marathon so the kids took the opportunity to make a trip to Brandon to see Migi, Papa C, cousin Tre and everyone else.  They had a great time and we had as much fun as you can have running 13.1 miles in the freezing cold.

After the race!

A trip to Bass Pro never disappoints

A fun ride with Papa C

Having fun with cousin Tre

Lunch with Maury

Maury gets to have guest eat with her in the cafeteria at school.  Since this probably will only last a few short years we try to take advantage when we can.
