Even Better than Disney

We didn't tell the kids until the night before we left that we were going to Disney.  Mimi was at our house and Caroline never said a word about Disney, she was thrilled to be going to Mimi's with Catherine!  Mimi said they had the best time!  After Mimi's, Caroline got to go spend some time with Migi, Papa C, and Tre.  She had a super fun week and was spoiled sweet :)  She got to go see Frozen twice, her favorite.  She had lots to tell when we got home and she loved her surprises!

Disney, Big Kid Style

We left our sweet two-year-olds behind for this Disney trip.  It's amazing the difference in a toddler free trip.  Everyone was big enough to ride it all and we did, over and over!!!  We were at rope drop and shut the parks down most days.  Our big kids were troopers!  John David and Carter had the best time together and if I had a dollar for every time I said "keep your hands to yourself" I would be a millionaire!!!  The girls loved doing it all together too, Maury was in Charlotte's shadow every step of the way and Charlotte didn't mind.  The grown ups had as much fun as the kids, maybe more!  It was a trip we won't soon forget!  Can't wait to go back (with the little girls next time)!!!

(have better pictures somewhere on another camera.....will add later (maybe))

McWane With Maury

I got to go with Maury and the Bluff Park 1st graders to the McWane Center for about an hour......then a blizzard hit.  Luckily I had my car so Maury and I made a quick escape and got to Caroline's school.  We were stuck there for a few hours until we hitched a ride with a stranger up the Oxmoor Rd hill and on to Carter at school where Owen eventually picked us up!  Crazy day!  Owen brought us home to play in the snow and he went back out with his 4-wheel-drive to help where he could.  With this snow storm came 3 days out of school.  In these 3 days I had 2 tests and 4 people to pack for Disney World!  This was just the beginning of a February we will never forget!

100-Year-Old Carter

Carter wasn't really into 100th day this year.  I had to push him to dress up.  Still a cute little old man even if he wasn't cooperative!

Easy-Peasy

Tooth #2 was no problem for Maury.  She pulled it herself sitting at the kitchen table while I was cooking supper one night.  Then she took a selfie so she could see :)

Sisters and Dolls

I love that my girls have a sister and love dolls like I did!  Now they are sleeping together in Maury's twin beds like Leigh Ann and I did :)  Sweet sisters......sometimes!

MLK in OBA

We headed to Mimi's condo with Mimi and the cousins while Daddy went on his annual hunting trip MLK weekend.  Any trip with the cousins is always a great one; also wild, exhausting, and entertaining!  We played on the beach, went swimming (indoors), played the wii, and had all kinds of fun (minus Maury's strep/doc-in-a-box visit)!  And I just realized I did not take many pics!

The Good Sleeper

I came up with a sleeping incentive to help to promote restful nights at the Coulson house.  Carter was the first recipient of the award.  The kids think this is a fabulous title and ask every morning who it is.  The Good Sleeper gets a candle in his or her breakfast and a beautiful "Good Morning Good Sleeper" song sung by Mommy :)

PJ DAY!

Can't remember why but Caroline had pj day her first week back in January!

Spend-the-Night PARTY!!!

Here goes another blog catch-up marathon.....

Before school started back at the end of Christmas break we had a successful double sleepover with Sarah Elizabeth and Pierce!  Carter had been begging for a while and since his buddy P will be moving away soon we decided we'd better go ahead and try it (have told him you have to be 6).  Everyone behaved, slept well, and played well together.......we will do it again (when I have another grad school break)!  I even got them all to church (with Owen at work)!

Wii Dance

Beds for babies too!
