Fort Morgan: Day One

First a little swim....

then down to the beach!

The boys and their dump trucks:

Busy building sandcastles and digging holes:

A swim with Daddy:

While we got thing ready for supper Carter was tuned into Mary B's DVD player while Maury played QUIETLY with Gray and Char upstairs!!!! And this is not the first time cousin Char and Maury have done body art!

*** Day one actually started earlier than the photos show with Maury, Carter and I out on the beach at 6 am while everyone else was still in bed. Maury and Carter do not sleep well away from home.

We Made It!

After a long ride with short naps we finally arrived in Fort Morgan for a week of fun in the sun! All six kids were super excited to see each other and wanted to suit up ASAP! We all took a dip in the pool and stuck our toes in the sand then celebrated Gandy's birthday!

Maury's MDO Picnic

Maury's class had a special picnic on the last day of school. I had to work but Daddy got to go have lunch with her! She had a great year in Mrs. Michelle/Mrs. Mara's class. We are going to miss MDO this summer! Excuse Maury's hair, not sure what happened to her bow!?!?

A Mississippi Weekend

This past weekend we headed to Brandon to visit Migi and Papa C. While we were there we tried to fit in as much fun as possible. We went shopping, to story time with The Cat in the Hat, had lunch with Sara Beth and Mahlon, played in the sprinkler, went to the park, Daddy even worked in 36 holes of golf!

Playing at the park:

Running through the sprinkler with Papa C:

Posing for a pic after lunch:

Carter waving to the Cat (as close as he would get, Maury wouldn't even wave):

Sweet Caroline's Pool Party

Maury's friend Caroline is soon moving away (BOO) but for now she is living in an apartment with an awesome pool (YAY)! Caroline has been super sweet this week by inviting us over to swim a couple of times. However, we got into a bit of trouble and are most definitely not welcome back. I can't imagine why single folks at the complex would complain about eight kids 3 and under playing at the pool! Anyway, we made the most of our two visits. Thanks Caroline (and Cydney), we had a blast!!!!

A group pic minus Maury and Henry who refused to participate. Ella Grace is not pictured but she was being sweet in her stroller :)

More Birthdays!!!

It seems April and May are big birthday months and we are doing our best to celebrate each and every friend/family member's big day! This weekend's partying was for our friends Caroline and Ford. Caroline had a Minnie Mouse jumping party and Ford had a backyard fish party! Maury and Carter loved every minute and every bite of cake!

Mother's Day

“Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” -Elizabeth Stone

My sweet children (and husband) made my Mother's Day so special! The first words out of Maury and Carter's little mouths Sunday morning were "Happy Mother's Day, I wuv you!" They made me several beautiful crafts then added some flowers and a spa gift card! Maury was pretty accurate on her Q&A! I am so blessed to be Maury and Carter's Mommy and so thankful for my wonderful Mother, Mom-in-law, and Grandmothers! Happy Mother's Day to Mimi, Migi, Nana, and Gene Gene too!

Assistant Superintendents

While I was working Saturday Maury and Carter went to VCC (in their pjs) with Daddy to help supervise a new project. I'm not sure how much "help" they were but I know they had a good time!

Welcome Home Molly!

Guess who arrived at our door step today??? Molly! And she is as good as new! Not only was her leg reattached while she was at the hospital, she also got a good bath and her hair was trimmed and re-braided with new ribbons to match her hospital gown! And of course she still had her hospital bracelet on. Maury did not put her down until bedtime tonight when she tucked her into bed! It's amazing what a trip to the hospital will do for a 20 year old doll!
