What's Baby #3???

Big Sister and Big Brother were right, they are going to have a baby sister!!!  They both told me on the way to the doctor they wanted a sister and Maury has said it was a girl all along.  Mommy and Daddy were both thinking boy, I guess we should have listened to Maury and Carter!  We are thrilled for another baby girl and so thankful for a healthy report!

Last Stop, Nana's! Whew!

Nana all of of her great-grans!

We wrapped up our Christmas celebrations on Monday with lunch at Nana's!  That meant one more present and lots more food!  We are so blessed to be able to spend time with so much of our family during the holidays!!!

On Sunday we went to church, played in the snow, played with new toys, and had a birthday party for Jesus!!!

Lots of Snow at Mimi and Gandy's!!!

As we left Birmingham and headed to Decatur later on Christmas Day the snow was beginning to fall quickly.  But we were really excited to find a White Christmas at Mimi and Gandy's house!  Snow, cousins, more presents, the day just kept getting better!

About half way through her stocking she said "Mommy, Santa went to Target!"
Maury and Carter woke bright and early (around 5:30 am) ready to see if Santa came!  We put them in our beds and tried to wait until the sun came up be we couldn't contain them for long!  They loved it all and soon it started snowing!  What a beautiful Christmas morning it was!

Christmas Eve

"Glory to God in the highest heaven and peace on earth to all whom God favors."
Luke 2:14

After a wonderful candlelight service on Christmas Eve we headed home to get ready for Santa!  But first we had to open gifts from each other!  Maury gave Carter a tow truck which is his very favorite of all of his Christmas gifts.  Carter gave Maury some slipper/boots and nail polish.  They were excited over lap-desks, an art kit, and a snow cone maker from Mommy and Daddy!  Before bed we put reindeer food in the yard and put Santa's cookies and milk by the fireplace!

Santa Surprise!

Untitled from Sally Coulson on Vimeo.

Tonight Carter went to VCC with Owen to check on something and on their way home they saw a crowd on a street in Vestavia.  They waited in line behind lots of other cars to get in on the excitement.  A police car with lights and sirens on went by a few times with Buddy the elf hanging out waving.  Soon they were greeted by a dozen elves followed by Frosty and Santa!!!  Carter was beside himself (and Daddy was too)!

Surfing Elves!

Love that they add a new option each year!

Away in a Manger

We always enjoy the live nativity at church and this year was no exception.  With each passing year Maury and Carter understand a little more about the Christmas story and I love watching their expressions and listening to their questions and comments.  Maury was thrilled over the angels on the roof and Carter loved petting the animals!  When we left Maury got a little upset because she wanted to see baby Jesus!

Cookies for Santa

Santa is in for quite a treat this year at the Coulson house!  Maury and Carter worked really hard making special cookies just for him (and maybe a few for themselves)!  Carter was the official taste tester and of course did not eat his dinner last night!

Winter Wonderland

Tuesday we met a few friends at the McWane Center to explore the Winter Wonderland exhibit!  There was ice fishing, snow, carpet skating, plus all of the usual fun at McWane!  It was nice to get together with sweet friends while we are out of school!

On to Migi and Papa C's....

From Forest we went to Migi and Papa C's house for a few days.  Let me just say that evidently Migi and Papa C were under the impression that Maury and Carter have been very good this year, I'm not so sure Santa can compete!  We had a great time with Aunt Cameron, Uncle Lee, Aunt Alex and her little puppy Miley too (can't believe I don't have pics of everyone)!
