So Far, Sooooo Good!

PJ Party at the library with Campbell and Charlie Ann!

Miserable!

Baby pool is also miserable!
We have survived week one of summer break!!!  I decided on Sunday that we must have some structure around here if I am going to make it till August without losing my mind (like I did last summer)!  We have a schedule that seems to be working that includes "summer school" during Caroline's morning nap.  Maury and Carter love it so far!  We have been swimming, to the library, to story time, and had a picnic at the park.  Caroline is struggling a little bit but she is hanging in there!  I am so thankful I get this precious time with them, I enjoy (most) every minute of it!   We just function much better with a routine and are off to a great start!!!

***Downer of the week- Caroline HATES the pool, not sure what to do about that!

Cousin Time

The Wises got to spend the night after our full day of celebrations.  Maury and Charlotte play so well together and so do JD and Carter, we rarely heard a peep from them.  It won't be long before Caroline and Catherine are best buddies.  I'm not sure why I don't have any pictures of the girls?!?!  The boys had a great time playing golf on Sunday, I have a feeling they did more goofing than golfing!!!

Celebrating Caroline

We delayed Caroline's birthday party by a few weeks so we could celebrate when everyone was in town for Maury's recital.  Mimi, Gandy, Migi, Papa C, Aunt Amy, Gray, and the Wises all joined in on the party!  Caroline had demolished her entire cake with in 5 minutes, that baby has her mama's sweet tooth!  It was a fun day and we are so glad everyone made the trip to make Maury and Caroline's day super special!!!

Maury's Big Performance

Backstage before showtime

Family came from all over to see Maury's 90 seconds in the spotlight!  She did great and seemed to love every minute of it!  Maury and her buddies tapped away to "Almost There" from The Princess and the Frog.  Maury may have missed a dance move or two but she didn't miss singing a word of the song!

Recital Rehearsal

We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs at Maury's ballet recital rehearsal Friday night!  They girls had a great time too!!!

4K Graduation

I am having a hard time believing that Maury will soon be a Kindergartener but it is coming quickly.  4K Graduation was this week and I did my best to hold myself together but who can keep from crying when you hear the graduation song?!?!?  Maury and her fellow graduated did great with their program and then she got her diploma and a bible from Mrs. Kelly.  We went to a reception after for cookies and saw all of the kids' art work displayed.  It was a special morning and we topped it off with a girls lunch with Mimi!  We are so proud of Maury and know she will do great in Kindergarten!!!

Soccer Party!

We are sad to see the soccer season come to an end but at least there was a pizza party to celebrate!  And a special soccer trophy was the icing on the cake!  Carter had so much fun playing with these sweet friends (fyi, Carter is into silly faces these days)!

Wonderful Weekend

Carter took a few pics :)

Mother's Day weekend I went on a girls trip to the beach and Owen held down the fort.  Maury was with Mimi and got to go to Tupelo for Char's ballet recital, she had the best time, she LOVES being the only child!  Daddy, Carter, and Caroline had a big weekend with soccer, a hiking outing, and church.  And I had a wonderful weekend at the beach!!!  I am so thankful for Mimi and Owen for making my little getaway possible!

12 Month Check-Up

Caroline had her check-up today!  She is 23 pounds, 6 ounces, and 30 inches (75-90th percentile for both).  She is bigger than Maury but not close to Carter's size at 12 months!  Everything checked out great and we are thankful for this healthy little blessing!

Muffins for Mom

The "CREW"

I've been looking forward to Muffins for Mom this year because I loved it last year with Maury.  Carter has been really excited for the past few weeks about me going and all of the surprises he had been working on.  I had a special morning with my sweet boy, I loved all of his crafts, his songs, and especially his interview!

I love that he said my favorite store is the "donut shop!"
