A Relaxing End of the Year

We packed away our Christmas decorations and packed our bags again to head to Mimi and Gandy's condo at the beach!  We had a very relaxing week.  We played in the sand, went to the arcade, saw Frozen at the movies, watched a lot of movies, played a lot of games, and made a lot of rainbow loom bracelets!  The Jackson's came to help us ring in the new year and we had a new year's eve Wii dance competition!  So many special memories were made and we can't wait to go back to make more!

A Very Merry Christmas!!!

After our Christmas Eve service at church we had friends over and then got our cookies ready for Santa and our reindeer food sprinkled outside.  The kids were nestled all snug in their beds in plenty of time for Santa to come.  Waking up to see what he left is tricky with 3.  Caroline was asleep in our bed when the big 2 got up so they tried to wait patiently till she woke up but I'm pretty sure they nudged her a bit.  They were all excited of course.  Caroline squealed over her kitty cats and her brother twin, Maury loved her AG trundle bed, and Carter was most excited about his remote control trick car and airplane till he realized Santa left a new Wii downstairs!  We played all morning, celebrated Jesus' birth with our advent worship time, and crashed on the couch by late afternoon!  We had a very merry Christmas, we are definitely blessed beyond measure!!!

On to Decatur Craziness

We made back home just in time for Owen and I to meet friends at the Alabama Theatre to see Christmas Vacation (no pics but had a great time), unpack/repack and then headed to Decatur on Sunday!  Christmas at Mimi and Gandy's is always crazy and fun!  There were lots of screams this year with Saige dolls for the middle girls and electric scooters and shaving kits (they went straight to the shower) for the boys!!! Lots of deuces and duck faces as well ;)  The Weatherwax crew came Monday night for pizza, crafts, and games.  And we had brunch Christmas Eve before headed home to get ready for Santa!  Fa la la la la la la la la.......

Christmas in Brandon

Our whirlwind Christmas started after Carter's party.  I checked the kids out of school and we headed to Brandon.  Once there we went out for pizza and then to Canton to see the lights.  Friday morning was spent at the much loved Children's museum and we had Christmas at Migi's Friday night!  Saturday morning we headed to Aunt Ingrid's for brunch and then back to Bham......haven't mentioned we started potty training this week too (made for a stressful trip to MS)!  So thankful for our many blessings including wonderful families and safe travels!!!
