Tag We're It!
This picture doesn't require much explaining. MSU Pre-game, Maury is unhappy about having her picture made with Bully.
Not really sure if I did this right, the first time I went through "My Pictures" the 4th pic, in the 4th folder was LA, Reagan, and Char at the beach in 2006 so then I started over via Picasa.
The object of the picture tag is to:
1) Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer
2) Select the 4th picture in the folder
3) Explain the picture
4) Tag 4 people to do the same
I tag Leigh Ann, Amy, Rebecca, and Nancy Catherine
Thought I'd better add this one too so I can be sure that I followed the rules:

Christmas in North AL
First on the agenda....a birthday party for Jesus! Mimi had everything set up including the manger complete with Baby Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes. There was even a cookie cake for Baby Jesus! I didn't have my camera out yet but LA has great pics on her blog (The Wise's). Then dinner and more presents. Friday we had Christmas at Nana's with all of the Weatherwax cousins! 12 kids, the oldest being 10! It was wild! We got back to Birmingham late Saturday afternoon with another car load of stuff! We had such a wonderful week with our families! We are blessed beyond measure!
Santa Came!
Even though both kids were sick we managed to have a very Merry Christmas! Santa came and dropped more than Maury and Carter can play with. Despite ear infections and fever they both managed to get several hours of playing in Christmas morning before we headed to Decatur! Santa only left 100 balls in the ball pit so it looks a little sparse in the photos (we've added 200 more since). Maury changed pj's three times in the night because she threw up each time we tried to give her medicine.....oh the memories!

Christmas in Mississippi
Saturday we headed to Mississippi to celebrate Christmas. We began in Forest and then headed to Brandon where the spoiling continued. Maury's favorite part of Christmas seems to be handing out the gifts. Carter likes the wrapping paper and bows. I'm sure when it warms up and Carter is big enough (I should say old enough) to ride there will be many Power Wheel races in the driveway! Maybe Santa will bring Maury a helmet, Carter can use the one that goes with his MSU football uniform (complete with shoulder pads)! Thanks Migi, Papa C, Aunt Cami, Uncle Lee, Aunt Alex, and all of our other aunts, uncles, and cousins for everything! We had so much fun!

Holly Jolly Bowling
That's right, bowling! Owen and his crew go every year for their Christmas party (I think there's a tournament and trophy involved). We were invited this year! What fun! Maury even got to sport some lovely bowling shoes! Carter was an attentive spectator, I think he could have watched them bowl for hours! When she wasn't helping Daddy bowl Maury would run away to the arcade! If you are wondering about Owen's pants, I think he thought they went well with the shoes?

New Trick
Carter has learned a new trick. Maury is a little jealous of the attention it brings him as you can see in the video. Turn your volume down if you don't want to hear me singing!

Live Nativity and Braving the Mall
Sunday night we went to watch the live nativity at church. Maury shouted out each addition to the scene as they walked out (she has studied her Little People Nativity carefully). Carter was very interested too. Maury was excited to pet the animals after the show!
I got brave Monday afternoon when both kids woke up early from their naps and headed to the mall for one last gift. I got Maury a cookie to keep from having to juggle two on the carousel and she shared a large piece with Carter. This being his first cookie I hurried to get my camera but he had gobbled it up by the time I got a picture. I swear he signed "more" when it was gone....I'm thinking it's too soon for him to pick up on signing though.

Grandma Christmas Party
Today we had lots of fun at the annual "Grandma Christmas Party" in Moulton. Mimi's friends, their kids, and grankids get together every year for the big event. We have snacks, gifts, and fun photo time. The group picture gets a little more difficult every year! Maury loved her Dora doll and Carter loved his wrapping paper! Thanks Mimi!

A Visit With Santa
Thanks goodness the entire Patterson family (including Henry's Mimi and Papa) were present for our visit with Santa because I definitely needed the extra hands (Owen ended up not making it last minute). I will lend a hand next year when Brooke has 3 to place in Santa's lap! Carter did fine, he didn't love Santa but didn't hate him. Maury, as expected, wanted nothing to do with him! Henry wasn't sure at first but quickly got up the courage to sit in Santa's lap. Maury fell fast asleep before we exited the parking deck with her cookie in her lap! Can't wait till Monday when we get to do it again at Daddy's work!

Look Who's 8 Months Old.....
Carter celebrates 8 months today! He is more precious by the day. He spends most of his wake time laughing and shrieking. I would say Maury is probably his favorite person even though she constantly tortures him. She does give him a lot of hugs and kisses too. He only cries when he is tired and he loves to go to bed (but only sleeps in his bed at home). We can't seem to get him to stay up past 7:00. I must give him 5 stars for his photogenic-ness. He always gives me a great smile for the camera!

Day Off
Owen and I were both off today. It seems like we never have a day when we are both off and at home. Not that we did any relaxing......we put up the tree, set up Maury's big girl bed, and moved her bed and changing table into Carter's room (disassembling 2 cribs and putting 1 back together) because Carter's crib and changing table were loaners. Maury did great napping in her twin with the extra-long rail and is almost asleep in it now, hopefully she will not try to climb out during the night! She was thrilled with her Dora sheets and Santa will be bringing the rest of her bedding and some things for her room! Carter thought her bed was pretty fun too!
