Carter and the Pumpkin Patch

Carter was so excited about his field trip to Old Baker Farm.  I heard him tell several people it was actually two field trips, one to a farm and one to a pumpkin patch.  He was a little confused but not a bit disappointed in his fun day!  It was a little chilly but we had a great time.  Carter loved everything about the trip.  It seems that he is a pretty good cotton picker!  It's funny seeing the differences in his and Maury's personalities (Mrs. Fritschi gets a kick out of it too).  Maury always stays close to me on field trips and when I am at school, Carter is leading the class and doesn't care if I am in the back of the line.  It was easy to see why his friends in his class are his friends as I watched them play chase and tag while the others were sitting quietly!

Maury Lost a Tooth!!!

I am thankful that my babies are late tooth losers, however, I knew the day would come when a little piece of Maury's sweet baby smile would go away.  It was a sad day for Mama but Maury was thrilled!  Mrs. Argo is the art teacher at BPES but she is better known for her teeth checking and pulling abilities ;)  I think she began checking Maury's tooth in Kindergarten and finally this past Tuesday Mrs. Argo pulled it at school!  Maury proudly brought it home in what looked like a test tube.  She put it in her tooth pillow that night (a little nervous about the Tooth Fairy's visit).  She asked if she would be awake when she came and we assured her she would see or hear her.  She was excited to find money and a note from the TF when she woke up!

MSU Homecoming

We had a big time at State's Homecoming this year!  Maury and Carter got to go the night before to spend the night in Tupelo with their cousins.  John David is like a celebrity to Carter so he was beside himself to sleep with him in his twin bed (the another one was vacant).  Aunt Leigh Ann and Uncle Reagan filled us in on lots of funnies from their spend the night party!  The girls stayed with Mimi and Aunt Amy at a hotel and they also had a ball!  We all met back up in Starkville around lunch time on Saturday.  We took the girls to the DG house for the first time and they boys got to visit the Kappa Sig house with their daddies (wish we had pics), Carter reported back he got a cookie ;)  It was a great day!!!

Bluff Park Open House

We got our bow back on the right heads and headed to BPES for open house!  Maury and Carter loved showing us around and Caroline made herself right at home!

Big Bow

I always lay the kids clothes out when I am working or have clinical to simplify Owen's morning.  This particular day Caroline ended up with Maury's super-sized bow (Maury went without), love the placement too!  I of course didn't see until I got home late afternoon :)

Bluff Park Art Show

The Bluff Park Art Show is always a fun time!  Maury and Carter love the kids area and it's so nice to drop them off and look around!

Johnny Appleseed and Farm Day

Within the same week Maury had to dress up like Johnny Appleseed for his birthday and Carter had to dress up like a farmer when they were learning about agriculture.  Glad it wasn't the same day because we had to share a few accessories!

Fall Ball

Carter is trying out baseball this fall.  He really likes it but we can tell he needs something with a little more activity.  He is quick to say his favorite part is running the bases (so needless to say, when he gets out at first he is not a happy camper)!  He is so much fun to watch and very entertaining.  He does a lot of waving, talking to the umpire, or whoever is on base next to him, and sometimes (if he is bored in the outfield) I can see him singing or filling up his glove with grass!

More Maroon

Another Saturday in Starkville means more fun with family, food, and football!  I think this was the Troy game when State played great and ran the score up which made it much more fun to watch! Lots of cowbell ringing time!!

First Grade Field Trip

I was able to go with Maury's class on her first field trip to the environmental center at Birmingham Southern.  We learned lots about the environment and recycling and got to make rings out of recycled material!

First Grade Bible Day

Maury and her sweet first grade Sunday School class were presented with their Bibles a while back.  It was a special morning and Maury was thrilled about her new Bible.  She loves to read it and she always makes sure she has it on ready to go on Sunday mornings!

Carpool with Caroline

I love my time in the car with only Caroline.  I can actually hear everything that sweet baby has to say.  She loves to sing and she tells me all about what she did with her friends at school.  I don't get too much out of her on the way home from school because she is out like a light in about 5 minutes!

Proud her "bulldog" was still on for school

Wanted her "friends" to be safe

Learned all about her eyes and ears this day
